Consultations and tours must be pre-arranged. No unplanned visits or walk-ins are allowed, whether the gate is open or closed. You could be interrupting a private event or ruining a photo shoot by accident! Please reach out in advance and we'd be happy to schedule a time to meet with you.

No, we do not at this time do any event planning or coordinating for your private event. You will need to secure your own planners and other vendors of choice. We are currently an outdoor event venue site/location only.

We are currently compiling a list of preferred vendors to share with our customers. 

If you are interested  in being an included vendor on that list, please click the Vendors tab and register. We are interested in cultivating a list of preferred photographers/ videographers, wedding planners, bands/performers/ entertainers, equipment rental companies, caterers, food truck operators, service persons/waitstaff, officiants, and more!

Yes - you absolutely can! We don't supply any regulation equipment for tournaments, but we have a large greenspace and you could bring in vendors, food trucks, etc.

We have a beautiful home at the property that is also available for your event booking.  We also have a charming cabin being installed. Just click on the Lodging Tab to check them out!  Lastly, if desired, the event venue has connections for up to 8 RV's on site for your private event if you desire (limitations may apply). Lodging on the grounds may incur an add-on expense. 

We've talked with select professional Wedding Planners in South Louisiana - from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, Houma, and Franklin to name a few -  and we listened to common concerns engaged couples and their planners have shared. CCEV is an authentically Cajun, swamp-chic outdoor space that is directly on the Atchafalaya River and OUTSIDE the levee wall in Morgan City, the heart of the Cajun Coast. 

We have an unobstructed river view with a lovely greenspace and arbor platform for your sunset-forward ceremony. Or you could set up in and around the Gazebo under the trees if you prefer. We also allow you to use YOUR preferred vendors, AND - here's another gem - we allow a generous set up timeframe. There are lodging options on the grounds.

We are happy to book different types of Photo Sessions on the property, with a firm appointment and prepayment received. Minimum 2-hour booking is required, and whether or not you use a DIY or a Pro Photographer, the same rules apply. 

Photo sessions are during Mondays-Thursdays, so as not to conflict with weekend events booked.  We look forward to discussing your options.  Click on the Contact Tab and inquire today!

We are limiting weddings and family gatherings to 100 guests at this time, due to parking constraints.

Yes! You absolutely can - as long as your vendors agree to our vendor compliance for the site. Just put them in contact with us after booking your event with CCEV and we'll go over everything with them.

We would love to talk to you about this special and personal ceremony, and would be honored to host you. Contact us and we'll be happy to explain what is and is not permitted by law.

Photo sessions booked at CCEV may be rescheduled once due to rain. Extreme weather events may also cause a postponement - we can discuss this with you in person when you schedule a consult.  

That being said, scheduled events are considered "rain or shine" at CCEV. That's part of the Swampy Chic charm of an AUTHENTIC Cajun venue - put on those white rubber boots South Louisiana is famous for and laissez les bons temps rouler!  

You are also encouraged to rent a tent to use on the premises for any inclement weather, or to get relief from the sun's rays during daytime events. There is space under the elevated house on the grounds your guests can enjoy. Let's discuss your preferences and needs.

Temperatures (hot or cold) do not constitute a rescheduling. Guests should dress/plan accordingly. C'est la vie!

Our venue does not offer very late-night or all-night events. You can book the lodging for guests to stay overnight, but there are limitations. We'd be happy to discuss your options with you!

Yes, the sunsets are very often - for lack of a better word - SPECTACULAR. However, as you may expect, they are not guaranteed. Mother Nature is fickle. If it's overcast and dreary-looking, the show must go on - welcome to South Louisiana!

Only certified service dogs are permitted on the property, with credentials.
